Our group of courses and workshops known as ‘Principles for success’ (PFS), seek to equip you in your area of responsibility, to be excellent in the way you administer your music ministry. Currently we have the following courses available.

Principles for success ‘The excellent team’ (PFS)
A one day course which focuses on building & developing your team. The areas covered may include the following:

Deciding who you are (Identity)
Choosing the right team members (essential things to consider)
Finding and establishing a vision
Auditions
Why structure works
The importance of repertoire
Making room for growth and inclusion
How and when to grow your team
Planning ahead- how when and why

Principles for success – 2 ‘Backup singing’
Melody Vocal Academy has a wealth of experience in the area of group vocals (small and large), Back ground vocal singing and worship team singing. We present PFS- singing-
a ONE DAY COURSE designed those involved in singing particularly within the church setting. This is primarily a skills workshop but will also look at the underlying principles needed for this kind of work and the do’s and don’ts and the key principles one needs to employ when serving your church in this way. If you want to get to grips with the above and have the opportunity to learn and practice in a safe and fun environment, then this workshop is for you.

Principles for success- 3 ‘song-writing’ (PFS)
A one day course on song writing we will look at the fundamentals of song writing, as well as the following:

Formulating songs
Incorporating vision and theme
How to gage a good song from a ‘needs developing’ one!

Principles for success –4 ‘Band works’

This workshop looks at excellence within the framework of a band. The course covers such things as auditions, skill development, learning new material, identifying your part, arrangement, identifying the construction of a song, locking as a band, playing in the pocket dynamics.

MELODY VOCAL AND WORSHP TEAM CONSULTANCY

At Melody we provide worship team/group consultancy for churches who want to see growth and development within their team. We will work with you to design a working plan that will take your group towards becoming the best that it can be.  The consultancy covers all areas of running a church worship team or Vocal group and will be in line with your church’s specific vision and mission.
