MELODY WORKSHOPS

Our workshops are here to cater to you whether you are a local arts centre, are launching an arts initiative, want to give your organisation a day of creative fun or are a church needing some help with your singing group. Whoever you are, Melody seeks to offer a creative solution that will meet your groups need.

Group Workshop 1: Urban  Voice
Can be provided as a crash course over 2 days, or a 8 week course in 1 and a halve hours each session.

The areas covered include:

Discovering your individuality
Understanding how your voice works
Mastering Breathe management & control
Vocal workout
Backing vocal, group and solo singing
Conveying emotion and communicating with your audience
Vocal styles,
Using the Microphone and sound systems
Music Theory, rhythm and harmony

Group Workshop 2: Gospel Choir experience
 Within this workshop your group will get the opportunity to experience singing songs in typical Gospel choir style. The group will be taught harmonies etc

*Groups must be 10 singers or more.

BACKING SINGER CRAFT:
This half-day workshop focuses specifically on training and developing you in the necessary skills for backing singing or small group singing.
