URBAN VOICE
This practical course will help you to discover your unique vocal style and singing personality. URBAN VOICE takes place in a small & friendly group setting where the emphasis is on practical application and experiential learning. Run by tutors with a wealth of experience in the singing profession- it’s a course not to be missed!
Urban Voice is an exciting 8 week course in the art and practice of singing.*
Courses usually run in January, April and September covering amongst other things, the following topics:
Discovering your individuality
Understanding how your voice works
Mastering Breathe management & control
Vocal workout
Backing vocal, group and solo singing
Performance Skills
Vocal styles
Using the Microphone and sound systems
Music Theory, rhythm and harmony for singers

Level 1: FOUNDATION.
By the end of the course you will have grown in confidence as a singer and performer and gained a good foundation, preparing to take your singing to the next level.
A certificate of completion is awarded to those who complete the course.
This course usually runs on Saturdays mornings over an 8 week period.
COST £150.00 in total
Level 2: THE BIG SING.
As it’s title suggests, this all about singing and performance. The highlight of this level is the finale concert which will give you an opportunity to perform for your friends and family - prepare to be challenged!
A certificate of completion is awarded to those who complete the course.

Level 3: SOLO ARTIST
Urban voice 3 is for those who want to develop as a solo singer. The course is taught within a group context and majors on peer support, assessment and feedback. During the term you will work on a selection of performance pieces, the course culminates with a performance by each student in a concert setting. A final assessment document will be given at the end of the course, which will summarise the student’s skill level, work, progress and achievement throughout the course.
A certificate of completion is awarded to those who complete the course.
